Windows XP Professional x64 Editionどうする？

　パフォーマンスアップに期待しているWindows XP Professional x64 Editionですが，23日(土)に発売されるらしい。価格はFDDとバンドルで19948円。Windows XP MCE 2005と同様に指定販売代理店のみ扱うらしい。

　x64 Edition向けのデバイスドライバ関係で人柱確定アイテムになりそうだけど，ゴールデンウィークに遊べそうな感じはしますな……引きこもりモードか？。というか，動かないデバイス，ゲームソフトとか出てくるとヤバいので様子見だったりしますが(RC1ではゲーム関係は特に問題なく動いているという話もあった)，OSだけ入手しておこうかなぁとか思ってしまうわけでして，どっかx64 Editionのネット予約しているところはないでしょうか？。

　あと新リビジョンを採用したSocket 939版 Athlon 64 3800+が発売になるらしい。こちらのパフォーマンスは不明だけど，ゲームとか少しでも快適に動かしたいなら狙い目かも。ただ高いんだよなぁ，きっと。

ようやく‥ですか。
ちょっと熱も冷めたかも。
といいつつ買うんでしょうたぶん。
パフォーマンスアップは主目的じゃないのですが、
あと何がありました？てな状態。
セキュリティー向上などもありましたね。

あっ、Norton系のユーティリティーも対応版が要るんでしょうね（゜ｏ゜）
もうFDDレスの時代なので要らないんだけどなぁ。

x64 Edition導入するのはいいんですが，RC1も試してないし微妙に不安です。
果たしてちゃんと動くのやら。まぁOSが発売されれば，それに合わせて
デペロッパーも対応版を出してくるでしょうけどね。

ともかくドライバやパッチなどの対応がどのくらい早く展開されるかが
不安要素ですかね。
