地下鉄サリン事件

　もう９年前になるんですね。オレも巻き込まれた可能性が高かった事件だけに胸の中に刻まれているかも。

　地下鉄サリン事件について説明する必要もないと思うので書かないが，事件の朝，北千住に到着した時に「築地駅で爆発事故が発生，日比谷線不通」という車内放送を聞いた。オレは築地駅で降りるんです。北千住で降りても日比谷線が走っていないんじゃ会社に迎えないので，そのまま浅草まで行き，銀座線で銀座へ抜け，徒歩で築地に向かったのでした。上空にはヘリコプターが飛び交って，本願寺前にはスーパーアンビュランスやら救急車が並べられてただならぬ雰囲気。駅は爆発してなさげって感じで，この時点ではサリンが撒かれたのは知るすべもなし。それを知ったのは会社に着いてからだしね。地上にある排気口のところを覗いて，煙が出てないじゃんとか思っていたけど，よく考えたらちと危なかったよね。

　会社に着くとニュースを見た家族やら友人から電話がかかってきたとか。まぁ家族からは当然だけど，電話をしてくれた友人が全て女性だったのが，嬉しかったというか何というか会社に誤解を与えることに繋がってしまったわけですが……それはさておき，「無事だよ～」と一通り電話をしたことを覚えている。

　それからは仕事もせずヘリコプターの飛び交う音，警察の放送などを耳にしつつ，ニュースを見ながら過ごしていたんですけどね。夕方には自衛隊による撤去作業などで会社の手前まで封鎖区域にされ，猛烈に遠回りして帰った記憶があります。

　たぶん死ぬまで記憶に残るんだろうなぁ。「こちら」に新聞社に写真を提供した方の記事がありました。鑑識の方も一命を取り留められたようで良かったです。撮った人も至近距離だったのに命に別状がなかったのが救いでしたね。
